ROVINJ, PULA, POREČ – ONE WEEK AMONG THE CROATIAN BEAUTIES
An enthusiastic cruise in the beautiful Adriatic Sea, which will make you discover the uneven coasts, the clean waters and the natural beauties of Istria. Enjoy an original holiday dedicated to relax, good food and a wide nature.
Duration: 6 days PRICE ON REQUEST
DAY 1: departure from Trieste towards Umag, the pearls of the Croatian Riviera which offers to its guests the maximum comfort and welcome. This city full of contrasts between the ancient and the modern, offers beautiful glimpse among its narrow alleys. You can pass this first evening in one of the many terrace-bars, or if you would like to gamble, in Umag there is a Casinò.
DAY 2: in the morning sailing to Rovinj, tourist centre of Istria. This city preserves a magic atmosphere, due to is exceptional climate and surrounding landscape. The heart of the city is enclosed into a palisade which was erected by the Venetians in the 12th century, and it still preserves paved alleys.
In the evening you can have dinner in one of the restaurant in the city centre and enjoy the lively atmosphere.
DAY 3: in the morning departure to Brioni Islands, where you will have the whole day at disposal to visit the archaeological sites and the safari park. In late afternoon you will sail towards Pula, a city rich in history and culture, where the ancient ruins are immersed the modern city.
DAY 4: in the morning sail to Unije Island, crossing the Kvarner Gulf. This cruise will offer you beautiful landscapes which outline among the islands of the archipelago. Unije, covered by limestone mountains, will surprise you for its pure nature. This island offers to the visitor an uncontaminated beauty even because there are no cars on it. In the evening you will cruise back to Pula.
DAY 5: today you will start to up the Istrian coast. Sail towards Poreč! This city was colony of the Ancient Rome and during the centuries it was ruled by Bizantine Empire, Venice Republic, Napoleon’s France, Austro-Hungarian Monarchy, Mussolini’s Italy and Tito’s Jugoslavia. The historic centre is an art monument. The mosaics on the façade and inside the holy Euphfrasian complex (including the basilica and the bishop palace of 6th century) are one of the most important works of the Bizantine art, which were preserved till nowadays.
DAY 6: after a refreshing swim you will sail to Piran, one of the most beautiful cities of Slovenian Istria, which present a picturesque architecture in Venetian style with city walls, towers and paved alleys. In the evening you will arrive in Trieste.
