TRIESTE - A WONDERFUL VIEW FROM THE SEA
A week-end to give you the opportunity to discover the city of Trieste from an extremely evocative view-point: on a sailing boat with a skipper at your disposal!

RECOMMENDED TOUR:
1st day: arrival in Trieste and check-in at the hotel. In the afternoon a tour of Trieste is recommended to see the Molo Audace - a pier named after the cruiser that brought the first Bersaglieri to Trieste on 3rd November, 1918 - a nice way to "get out of town" by taking a walk in the middle of the sea, visit the Sea Aquarium located in the Art Nouveau building historically hosting the fish market. Here visitors can admire Adriatic sea species, tropical fish, and a funny group of penguins. Dinner at the restaurant. Overnight stay.
2nd day: Breakfast. In the morning excursion on a sailing boat, with a skipper available to show you the city and its surroundings from an original view-point... and with a bit of good luck, you will be able to take a swim in the beautiful sea at the Prince's bay, at the foot of the Duino Castle. Free lunch. In the afternoon free time to visit the historic centre of Trieste, to admire Piazza Unità d'Italia, the heart of the city facing directly onto the sea, Canal Grande is a short canal penetrating into the very heart of Borgo Teresiano, which was once used by sailing ships and large cargo boats, "El Pedocin" is the only bathing establishment in Italy still maintaining two separate sections for men and women from the times of the Habsburg Empire. The promenade along the sea and the small pine wood at Barcola are a meeting place for the local people crowding the Topolini, a bathing establishment where you can get a sun-tan and take a swim. Overnight stay.
3rd day: Breakfast. End of services. In the morning a visit to the Civic Museum of the Sea, which offers detailed documentation on the development of seafaring in Trieste, or a visit to Muggia are advisable.
