A striking weekend in mountain bike to discover the hills and the vineyards of Friuli, a dip into nature.
Duration: 3 days (weekend) PRICE ON REQUEST
A fascinating itinerary which will surprise you for the variety of landscapes, the richness of historic and cultural sites. A weekend for those who like to ride on a bike on open air.
FRIDAY
Arrival in Spilimbergo, the "City of Mosaics". Check-in at the hotel. Welcome cocktial. Dinner in a traditional restaurant.
SATURDAY
The ham and castles way - km. 60 ca. disl. 250m ca.
Breakfast. Meeting with the guide and...let's go along a "greedy" itinerary through the San Daniele ham lands. You will admire ancient suburbs, pretty old churches, manored houses, in a suggestive return back to the Medieval Ages, which will end with a testing session of San Daniele ham, famous all over the world!
This itinerary offers you beautiful landscapes on the amphitheatre of the Carnic Alps, among suggestive places.
Dinner in traditional restaurant. Overnight.
SUNDAY
A tour among nature and art in friuli Venezia Giulia - km. 60 ca. disl. 50m ca.
Breakfast. Meeting with the guiude and departure. This itinerary is all developed on flat areas along the 18th century raod which crosses the estates of the venetian family Manin. this way was once the communication route between sea and hills. During the day you will visit "Villa Manin", the elegant palace built in Palladian style during 17th-18th centuries, which once was Napoleon's dwelling.
At 5.00pm return back to the Hotel.
Arrivederci to the next bike ride!
Difficulty level: medium
Even if the itineraries do not present peculiar problems, we suggest this tour for those who have a good training because of the lenght of daily tours, the irregular grounds, wholes and stones on the route.
Accommodation at GRAND HOTEL PRESIDENT 4* in Spilimbergo.
Tour for a minimum of 6 participants.
